April 20, 2017 We have met up to to combine the background Matei had been designing and the characters I had been animating. Through this process we created our animatic. This was a helpful process in assessing the timing and pacing of our animations. I inserted my symbol animations into Matei's background. Animatic 0.1:
I had to animate the final scene of the animation, which was the gag of the bed breaking, I utilsed yet more motion tweens to animate the slowness of the character, because we were pressed for time, I still think that the sense of anticipation built was effective in communicating the gag to the audience. As long as the audience got the idea we were trying to convey, I had done my job effectively and efficiently, with hope of it still being entertaining.
Animatic 0.2:
I added in the background characters based off the drawings I had done in the concept art phase of production: The set of bus characters that I added into the transition vehicles were honestly drawn off the top if my head.

I was aware of our time constraints and just wanted to get these characters finished, I think I did a decent job considering they were not drawn from reference. I also redrew the characters for the third transitional vehicle, these were just greasier and fatter versions of the first iterations.

Animatic 0.3:
The townspeople based off of Gillian Wearing's photography:

I added these characters into the background and created a motion tween so that they would roll along the background at a bus stop:

Taking influence from my sketches of the obese townspeople, I created these background characters. These two were both separate symbols that rode the same moped as the protagonist this was just a matter of copying the moped symbol into these two new character symbols.

Animatic 0.4:
Matei sent me a version of the background and transition vehicles that were now coloured. I finally added in the three schoolboys that I had initially intended to be playing football in the background, but this was proving to be too time consuming, considering the amount of time we had left. Since I had to dedicate a lot of time animating the final scene of the animation.

The final touch I made was moving the moped off camera so that the final fall of the character could be more easily seen by the audience.

Animatic 0.5:
Luca was then left to add the sound over the video. he used a track that all three of us had purchased in our last meeting. 'March of The Bears' was purchased from a website that offered soundtracks to be purchased legally so that they can be utilised in online videos. This was the final result of our efforts:
With our video finally finished, with just a few days to spare, we are now ready to submit our video into the Creative Conscience competition.
