Intro to Making of: FINAL BIG BRIEF (Creative Conscience Competition) Phase VI Conclusion

This was the first draft of the Making of video that Luca edited together. However myself and Matei weren't fully satisfied with the end result. We sent him some notes about what should be improved:

Conclusion: To conclude I am very pleased that myself, Matei and Luca could creatively critique each other and be able to come to creative compromises where necessary. I feel that I ended up taking on an unofficial role as a director of this group, as it seems that I drew out most of our plans and schedules for our project and our Making Of video, as well as over saw the composition of the animation and art direction. I think this is why my team put me down as the lead entrant for our competition submission. I'm pleased that I stepped up to this role, as being an animation director is something that I aspire towards. I've valued the amount of communication we've had between each other, especially with our group inbox. This made interaction with each other a lot easier over the Easter holidays. My only critique perhaps was our job role allocation. It did feel at times that there were certain points in the making of this project that relied heavily on myself getting all of the animation completed in order for anything else to mobilise. This did feel extremely hard at times. I understand this was down to the nature of each of our individual skills within Adobe Animate being uneven. I was the most experienced so it only made sense that I do the animated work. So it is important to bear in mind that I have no ill felling towards my teammates. Perhaps next time the project should be assessed more carefully to accommodate everyone's skills sets. But because we only had such a short amount of time- it was more practical to do a 2D animation, the sacrifice I made was that I would have to do more in the production phase. Overall I'm pleased with my results and I am glad that this Making Of has really counted towards something- in this case: the Creative Conscience Competition. I hope that the message of our video is well received, as childhood obesity is something that we all cared about changing. I hope that my team do well in the competition and hopefully we'll get some sort of recognition for our entry, as this was one the main reasons for picking this brief. Even if our video gets credited with some sort of recognition I will be happy as this will be great stuff to put on a CV.
