Apr 27, 2017 We have submitted our Making of video entitled: "Fat Footsteps" to the Creative Conscience Competition. We had been given extra time to complete the submission, we had worked to be completed with our work by the 20th of April, (the original deadline) but for reasons unknown to us, the competition had been extended. Luca was in charge of submitting our entry, I however still had to write out our entry description. This was how it read: Fat Footsteps "An animation that documents the journey of a child walking home from school. The child gets progressively fatter and fatter as he reaches his house to the point of morbid obesity. The animation is symbolic in the aim of conveying the message that our current attitudes, in the western world to childhood obesity are damaging to the future generations. This is based off a quote from the NHS, which has stated that by the year 2025: one fifth of the adult population will be obese. In order to change this statistic, and stop it from happening, we as a society, need to focus on childhood obesity and act now." We also had to submit a casebook for our entry now the deadline had been extended. Here are a few examples of some of the pages we had to submit:

Now our submission is out of the way, we can only hope we do well in the competition. I have been appointed team leader, which means I shall be the one receiving the email on how we have fared within the competition. We should know the full results by June 8th. In the meantime we must now focus onto the assessed piece of work that takes us back into the more normal part of the Making Of project: which is the Making of video. I have gathered another group meeting at my flat to plan out how we are going to delegate the sections of this video. Luca has volunteered to take on more editing roles in this stage of the process, seeing as he had a slightly smaller role in the competition entry. However I still want to have full control over editing the parts that I am in charge of. We therefore drew up this list that allocated different parts of the Making of video that we were each in charge of:

Now that are informed as to what sections we each have to do we must all now go our separate ways and edit our individual sections, Luca will edit all of our premiere projects on a master premiere file, when we give our sections back to him. Here are the parts that I have edited together: My intro section:

All of my sections:

I have handed this section over to Luca, the only part I have left to contribute now is my conclusion. I will record this later on today, after I have finished some work on my other modules. I am looking forward to our finished documentary and I'm glad I've had to do less work on the Making Of documentary, compared to my last group project, where I had to do the majority of the video.
